How long before the pain becomes the victor in this battle - for battle it surely is.<br /><br />At the moment I am winning. I am staring it down.<br />It is a monster. It can also be a place to explore the ways in which a) I have been affected by the condition but also, and more importantly perhaps b) somewhere to explain the ways in which I have learnt to cope with this condition. Learning to cope has been the hardest lesson I have had to learn in this life - and that includes the death of Glyn. When one first experiences pain the immediate thought is that it will eventually go away or that drugs will control the pain.
